Papuan Bright Program Batch I Graduation

UT School launched Papuan Bright Training Program Batch I on August 5th, 2022, with a total of 22 students who are native Papuans. The training program was held for six months for heavy equipment mechanics field. The 22 Papuan students also received ten-day mental and physical training from TNI.

On Friday, March 10th, 2023, 22 UT School students has graduated from the First Batch of Papuan Bright. The ceremony took place at the Horison Diana Timika Hotel. The graduation of the 22 students was marked by hats pinning and certificates awarding by the Site Manager of UT Timika Site Freeport, Tito Hayyu Abdillah Nugroho and the Main Director of UT School Head Office, Mochamad Hamdan Aziz.

The graduation ceremony was also attended by the Mimika Secretariat's Community and HR Expert Staff, Ignatius Eddy Santoso, representatives of the Regional Apparatus Organizations (OPD) within the Mimika Regency Government, representatives of the Heads of Vocational High School and parents of students.

Papuan Bright Program Batch I Graduation

The Papuan Bright Program is a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program from PT United Tractors called UT Future, in collaboration with UT School. This program aims to develop and improve the quality of human resources for the nation's young generation who are competent, especially in the field of heavy equipment, to respond to the challenges in the workplace.

Presented at the graduation, the Site Manager of PT United Tractors Timika Site Freeport, Tito Hayyu Abdillah Nugroho, said that UT Future is the implementation of one of the visions and missions of PT United Tractors, which is to educate the nation's children. Therefore, PT United Tractors, whose existence spans from Sabang to Merauke, continues to contribute to the surrounding community, which works with the local government, in this case, the Mimika Regency Government.

With the gratitude of the addition of the 21st point of UT School in Timika, which has graduated the first batch through the Papuan Bright Program, in addition to increased competence in the field of heavy equipment, it is hoped that the 22 children will be able to work in their homeland in the land of Papua.
